Help on ideas for a story?

HELP PLEASE! i have a story and it is basically about a girl who falls into a coma after getting into an accident after a rowdy party. so while in the coma, she pictures herself on this boat with four animals, a wolf, a baby panda, an ant and an eagle. I HAD to incorporate the animals because it was part of the ignment and i cannot change them. i want the animals to be incorporated into the story more but i don't know how to do that. any ideas?
