Why do people say single life has its advantages?

hi, im 28 and have been single for 8.5yrs. I have pretty much everything material wise, but its not what i want. All i ever wanted was to come home to a girl. I don't have any bad manners. I miss so much and im not the Player type to sleep around. People say i can flirt whenever and to whomever (but i hate flirting, i find it obnoxious and crude), i can party with my boys (but id rather be home with my girl all the time), id love to share my bed, id love keeping the house clean, id rather be with her then be 'free', id rather share my money with her, id rather go on a trip with her, id rather have with her only, ive spent too much lonely time getting to know me id rather get to know her all day/nite, id rather have her continuously checking up on me, id rather put up with her habits...look im very sick of being single, but ive tried so hard finding her, done everything imaginable, joined clubs all sorts etc!!!! (ive even stopped looking, yet nothing)..but why do people say that single life does have advantages when they obviously don't and im still forever depressed?
