Where can I find out about choosing a crop to plant on my land to earn money from and let others manage it?

I've been told that there is a regional/government initiative whereby I can choose a crop and have it planted on my land, letting others manage and harvet the crop and receive a yearly (?) income from the arrangement. Sounds too good to be true but wold really like to know more and find out whom to speak to.
