10 POINTS IF YOU CAN HELP ME WITH THESE PROPORTIONS? 9th GRADE MATH?
They mean you have a room that is 8 feet by 12 feet, but a blueprint is a smaller, to-scale drawing of that room (you can't well have a sheet of paper that is 8 feet by 12 feet, to portray the room, right? So you draw the room on a smaller scale but you have to keep the dimensions the same, just sized-down). So, 1 in: 2 ft means one inch on the blueprint paper equals two feet of the 8x12 room. So, for that one, the 8foot side of the room would require 4 inches on the blueprint page (if 1 inch equals 2 feet, then how many inches equal 8 feet). I hope this helped. If you understand this, you can do the rest; I'm not going to do all your math for you. :)
