What does the red light indicate on an ati graphics card?

What Does the red light next to the 6 pin pci power connector on an Ati X1950 xt Graphics Card Mean, as i have been getting it recently, but disappears once i reboot the machine, i don't think it means it isn't getting enough power, because it running high end games fine at very high fps, and not crashing or reboots,
