So, did I get my period or what?

Yesterday I've noticed sticky clear l discharge and I'm not sure what it was... I'm only twelve, haha. Today I woke up and it was like yesterday, I wiped and noticed some red/ (more brown) on the toliet paper and I was wondering if it could be my period. I kinda want it over with and to happen but it was really light? Could this just be spotting? I put on a pad and went to school... It's lunchtime now and I noticed a little more blood (brown/red) on the pad.. It's nothing heavy, and I don't have cramps...But my hurts a little bit? Am I bleeding because of a period or because I might've hurt myself somehow? The blood is coming from the ...so I have a feeling It's just my period...help?
